Senior Building Surveyor

Are you an experienced Senior Building Surveyor looking for a role where your expertise is valued and your contribution makes a real impact? We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded independent surveying practice who are seeking an accomplished professional to join their established team in Eastbourne.

The Role

As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will play a leading role in delivering a broad range of surveying services. From managing complex building contracts to advising clients on high-level property matters, you'll be trusted to take responsibility from initial enquiry through to project completion. You will also contribute to mentoring colleagues and developing long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on residential and commercial surveys, defect analysis, and valuations
• Manage building contract administration from inception to completion
• Prepare detailed, high-quality reports and professional advice
• Develop and maintain client relationships, representing the practice with integrity
• Take ownership of instructions, ensuring efficiency and quality throughout
• Support and guide junior colleagues where appropriate

About You

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) with 5+ years' professional surveying experience
• Proven track record in delivering building surveying services to a high standard
• Strong leadership and client relationship-building skills
• Excellent report writing and presentation abilities
• Highly organised, adaptable and efficient in managing multiple projects
• Professional, committed, and motivated by delivering the best client outcomes
• Comfortable working independently as well as within a team environment
