Town Planner (Graduate to Associate Level)
Location: Ashford, Kent
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

A well-established, design-led planning and architectural studio near Ashford is seeking talented and motivated Town Planners at all levels - from recent graduates to experienced associate planners.
You'll work on a broad mix of projects including bespoke rural homes, residential developments, heritage sites, and complex planning applications throughout Kent and beyond. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team that values creativity, technical excellence, and a personalised approach to planning.

Key Responsibilities
Depending on your level of experience, your role will involve:
Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals
Conducting site appraisals, policy research, and feasibility assessments
Liaising with clients, consultants, and local planning authorities
Supporting or leading on Local Plan representations, pre-application advice, and stakeholder engagement
Working closely with the in-house technical design team on a wide variety of projects

About You
A degree in Town Planning or a related subject (RTPI-accredited preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of UK planning policy and development control
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
A full UK driving licence is desirable due to site-based work

Applicants for Associate-level roles should have:
Several years' experience in planning consultancy or local authority
Strong project leadership and client management skills
RTPI membership or eligibility for chartership
