We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Deputy Chef Manager to support the running of a busy school kitchen in the B7 area. The successful candidate will assist the Chef Manager in leading the team, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Chef Manager with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Assist in the supervision and training of kitchen staff.
• Take responsibility for kitchen operations when the Chef Manager is absent.
• Help oversee stock control, ordering supplies, and managing deliveries.
• Assist with menu preparation, cooking, and baking.
• Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures are followed, including cleaning schedules, temperature checks, and risk assessments.
• Engage with pupils in a positive and friendly manner.

• Location: Birmingham (B7)
• Pay Rate: 15.16 an hour (includes your holiday pay)
• Contract: Term Time + 2 Weeks
