Qualified Social Worker - Long Term Team North Yorkshire £35 per hour Hybrid & Flexible WorkingWe're looking for an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join a Children's Long-Term Locality Team in North Yorkshire.If you're ready to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families-this is the role for you. About the Role You'll support children and families across Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children Looked After (CLA) cases.This role includes: Working with families involved in Child Protection Plans, Care Proceedings, Private Law, and Adoption Completing CIN reviews, updated assessments, and assessing cases for escalation or de-escalation Carrying out DOLS assessments for Children in Care Conducting Section 47 enquiries and progressing cases to Initial Child Protection Conferences Creating care plans focused on permanence from day one Partnering with agencies such as police and health services to deliver joined-up support Maintaining strong links with Integrated Prevention and Early Help teamsYou'll work in a fast-paced yet supportive environment, using your expertise to assess risk, safeguard children, and drive sustainable positive change. What We're Looking For You are a confident and compassionate Social Worker who can bring insight, professionalism, and empathy to your role.? Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England? 4+ years' experience working with children and families? In-depth understanding of Child Protection legislation and related legal frameworks? Skilled in assessment, care planning, and multi-agency collaboration? Able to build trusting relationships with children and families? A confident communicator with strong negotiation and mediation skills? Committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing a varied caseload
  • Undertaking comprehensive assessments of risk and need
  • Creating care plans that promote dignity, empowerment, and positive outcomes
  • Supporting unqualified staff and mentoring students
