MACHINE OPERATOR / SETTER

Salary Starting 16PH (Increasing After Full Training) + 20 Days Holiday Plus Bank Holidays + Overtime Available Paid at Time and + Onsite Parking + Uniform Provided + Safety Wear Provided + Health Shield Program
DAY SHIFT: Monday To Friday 7:30am To 4:45pm (7:30am - 8:00am will be paid at the overtime rate of time and )
Our client is a UK supplier of corrugated transit packaging, offering high-quality, cost-effective solutions for protecting goods in transit. They combine manufacturing expertise, stockholding, and trading capabilities to meet diverse customer needs quickly and reliably.
They are currently looking for a Machine Operator / Setter to join their production team due to expansion in the business. This role requires heavy lifting and handling of heavy materials.
The client is open on the candidates experience. Experience in the Packaging or Print industry OR as a Printer / Finisher / Corrugator / Gluer would be of an advantage - Full training will be provided
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing production line before shift starts
- Running a tube winding machine including loading materials onto it
- Setting elements of product lines for different product, including the tube winding machine, labellers and seaming machines
- Checking quality of products being produced alongside quality control department
- Production paperwork
- Clean and maintain the production line at the end of each shift
Requirements:
- Previous experience in similar product industries such as: Packaging / Packaging Materials, Board mills, Printers, Finishers, Corrugators and Gluers
- Must have experience in fast-running production environments
- Flexible to working some overtime
- Ability to learn new machinery quickly and effectively
