The roleWe are delighted to be supporting our client with their search for a Payroll Coordinator. This is a busy office and the role will be on-site. Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly/fortnightly and monthly payrolls, including starters, leavers, and changes.
- Calculate statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.) and company sick pay.
- Generate P45s, SSP1s, SMP1s, and year-end P60s.
- Upload pension files to numerous providers and manage auto-enrolment duties.
- Handle bonus payments, payroll journals, reports, and payslip distribution.
- Maintain payroll calendars and ensure deadlines are met.
- Submit FPS, EPS, and produce monthly P32 reports.
- Set up new clients and financial years on payroll systems.
- Respond to queries from employers, employees, and third parties.
- Make payments via BACS or provide net pay data to clients.
The person
Skills/Attributes: - Previous payroll experience (preferably in a bureau/multi-client setting).
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation.
- Proficient with Sage 50 Payroll would be an advantage.
- Excellent accuracy, time management, and communication skills.
- CIPP qualification desirable.
