Programme Manager
Coventry - Hybrid Working
6 Month Contract
£850 - £940/day inside IR35
Our financial services client is embarking on a major multi-year Core Transformation Programme to implement a new core banking solution across their organisation. As the programme scales, maintaining delivery pace, milestone commitments, and alignment across workstreams is critical.
They are seeking a seasoned Programme Manager to lead planning, governance, and delivery across this strategic initiative. This is a critical role that requires someone who lives and breathes programme management, with a passion for structure, planning, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine appropriate mechanisms to manage delivery pace and velocity
- Understand key milestones and drive team to achieve them, focusing on the critical work.
- Manage, and escalate where required, delivery risks to ensure appropriate delivery risk tolerance
- Provide plan insight and updates to programme senior leadership
- Support development of 2026 plan including resourcing and delivery structures
- Provide expert guidance and support to workstreams in the construction of their individual plans, ensuring awareness of dependencies and any constraints / implications.
The successful candidate will have the following skills/knowledge:
- Proven experience in programme management, ideally within large-scale transformation programmes.
- Financial Services experience, particularly in core banking, is highly desirable.
- Strong planning, governance, and delivery focus.
