Barker Ross is currently recruiting experienced Bench Hand Joiners on behalf of a well-established company based in Kegworth. This is a great opportunity to join a skilled workshop team involved in producing high-quality bespoke and commercial joinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret detailed manufacturing drawings accurately
  • Work to exact measurements, tolerances, and material specifications
  • Measure and mark materials precisely for cutting and assembly
  • Operate saws such as table saws, band saws, and chop saws
  • Cut timber, MDF, plywood, veneers, and other sheet materials
  • Use woodworking machinery including spindle moulders, edge banders, pocketers, and routers
  • Set up machines to meet job requirements
  • Assemble components using gluing, screwing, pinning, and doweling techniques
  • Build finished products such as cabinets, display units, counters, and more

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a bench hand joiner or in a similar workshop-based role
  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow specifications
  • Confidence using woodworking tools and machines
  • High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
  • Reliable, motivated, and able to work well as part of a team
