Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to work within a care setting. Starting with a 6 week contract. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations within a restaurant environment. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. 27PH on Bank Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and measuring.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Help train new kitchen staff as needed, sharing knowledge of culinary techniques and best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant setting.
• Candidate must be willing to acquire a DBS
• Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
