HGV Class 1 Driver

Job Title: Class 1 / LGV 1 / HGV 1 / CE Driver

Location: Banbury

Shifts: Monday to Friday, start times between 04:00-07:00

Contract Type: Ongoing & ad-hoc opportunities

Pay: £16.71 per hour (first 45 hours), £20.50 per hour (overtime)

Overview:

Pertemps are delighted to be recruiting Class 1 Drivers on behalf of our well-established client in Banbury. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing or ad-hoc work, supporting a busy transport operation and playing a key role in ensuring safe and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all company procedures and transport regulations
• Manage working time in line with tachograph rules
• Complete daily vehicle checks
• Carry out deliveries safely and on schedule
• Represent the company professionally at all times

Requirements:

• Valid UK HGV 1 (CE) licence, held for at least 2 years
• Minimum 180 days Class 1 driving experience in the UK within the last 2 years
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DR or IN endorsements)
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph (DQC)
• Good knowledge of driver hours & regulations
• Experience with refrigerated units (preferred, not essential)
