Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education. This role involves managing staff, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and fostering positive relationships with parents and the community.
Duties
- Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead and supervise nursery staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Develop and implement educational programmes that promote children's learning and development in line with early childhood education principles.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviour, and any concerns that may arise.
- Drive initiatives to enhance the nursery's reputation within the community and attract new families.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn.
- Monitor children's activities to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Organise events and activities that engage children, parents, and staff in the nursery community.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications in childcare is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children of various ages, demonstrating an understanding of their developmental needs.
- Ability to drive initiatives that improve nursery operations and enhance children's experiences.
- A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth in a supportive environment.
