Senior Finance Manager - Cambridge Responsibilities of the Role
- Lead, develop, and empower the finance team in the UK to ensure timely and accurate invoicing, alongside effective credit control, while promoting collaboration and encouraging professional growth.
- Report directly to the Country Manager, with a dotted line to the Regional CFO.
- Prepare monthly financial and management accounts for the Country Manager, Regional Management, and Group.
- Compile financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS using SAP.
- Oversee financial planning, budget forecasting, and control for the UK business in alignment with Group requirements.
- Manage year-end reporting and audits in compliance with Group standards.
- Handle VAT and tax submissions, including P11D and tax reporting to the Group.
- Act as a business partner in a rapidly expanding organisation: collaborate with sales, account management, and operations to identify gaps, providing proactive and forward-looking transparency on the business.
- Manage cash flow and treasury for residential heat billing.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the bank and auditors.
What We Require from You
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a finance management role, including experience in team leadership.
- CIMA/ACCA qualified.
- Confidence in a fast-paced environment, with strong analytical and communication skills, and a keen interest in process optimisation with a problem-solving mindset.
- Proficient in SAP and experienced with PowerPoint, Excel, or similar applications.
- A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to engage and inspire others.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
