Assembly Fitter
Location: Tamworth
Salary: 27,000 starting, rising to 29,500 after training, with further progression available

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Assembly Fitter to join a permanent, stable team with excellent long-term career prospects. This is an exciting opportunity to work on bespoke vehicle modification projects within a clean, organised, and supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Assembly Fitter

  • Working on bespoke, high-quality vehicle builds
  • Assembling components onto vehicles (e.g. lights, racking, grab rails, steps)
  • Using a wide range of hand and power tools, including cutting knives and air tools
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Measuring, marking out, and working with precision tools such as tapes, micrometres, and verniers

Candidate Profile
The successful Assembly Fitter may come from a variety of skilled trade backgrounds, such as:

  • Coachbuilding or motorhome building
  • Commercial bodybuilding
  • Welding, metalwork, or fabrication
  • Joinery, cabinet making, or window fabrication

Above all, you'll be confident with hand/power tools, able to measure accurately, and keen to learn and develop your skills further.
