Band: 8A Temporary Funded for 3 Years JOB SUMMARY/ MAIN PURPOSE: The post holder will assist the Service Manager in the development, co-ordination and delivery of high quality service within RBHSC. The post holder will be the conduit between Service Manager and the front line clinical teams. Skillfully translating the organisational and divisional objectives into operational reality and leading their implementation across the specialties of responsibility. The post holder liaises closely with members of the multi-disciplinary team to improve channels of communication, allow maximum utilisation of resources, and promote continuity and co-ordination of the services within their sphere of responsibility. The post holder will undertake operational responsibility for the whole of RBHSC on a rota basis as 'Manager of the Day' The post holder will also be required to join a Senior Manager on Call rota for RBHSC. To champion and support the PICU sisters, charge nurses and team leaders to implement corporate wide initiatives. To lead on specific components of strategic planning. To provide strong clear clinical and non-clinical leadership. To inspire, motivate, empower and oversee the co-ordination of all staff within their span of control. To demonstrate a consistent and strong focus on improving the quality of the patient's care and experience. To develop staff and practice, working closely with educational and training facilities.
