Design for Manufacture Engineer - Contract

Contract position Outside IR35

Hybrid working - Hampshire

• Utilising strong experience with Solidworks for mechanical design.
• Applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles focusing on mechanical design, machining processes, bonded assemblies, and production line processes.
• Conducting technical presentations and justifying design approaches to third parties.
• Managing multiple projects efficiently, making key design decisions where required.
• Ensuring a keen eye for detail in all aspects of the design and manufacturing process.

• Extensive experience in mechanical engineering within the aerospace sector.
• Proficiency with Solidworks and a deep understanding of DFM principles.
• Strong technical presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to effectively communicate ideas and background reasoning to stakeholders.
• Solid multitasking abilities and prioritisation across various projects.
• Desirable: Experience with Solidworks PDM, knowledge of aircraft systems and aerospace processes, familiarity with Engineering Change Order processes, and previous use of MRP tools.
