Job Description

We re seeking a visionary Finance Director to help steer a respected, well-established charity at a pivotal moment in its strategic development.

Reporting to the Chief Executive and working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a key role in shaping the organisation s future, supporting its mission, and ensuring long-term financial sustainability. You will lead on all aspects of financial management, planning, and reporting, while also overseeing risk assurance, financial compliance, procurement, and pensions.

We are seeking a qualified accountant with senior finance leadership experience, strategic acumen, and strong stakeholder engagement skills. You will be a collaborative leader who places people at the heart of your approach, with the ability to build effective relationships across the organisation and with external partners. As a charity, we value individuals who can work closely with our Board of Trustees and Finance subcommittee, and who demonstrate a strong commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, as well as environmental sustainability. Alignment with our values and purpose is essential.

We re looking for a strategic thinker and hands-on leader with:

  • Proven experience in senior financial leadership, ideally within the charity or cultural sector.
  • Strong understanding of charity finance, governance, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A collaborative, values-driven approach to leadership
