We are looking for a Management Accountant who will embrace the opportunity to work in a charitable organisation and who will support the Finance Director in the preparation of the

monthly management accounts, year-end statutory financial statements, and other key

finance tasks.

Main Responsibilities but not limited to:-

  • Financial Analysis: Review and analyse financial data to provide insights that support business objectives and decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to guide management in planning and resource allocation.
  • Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts to present to the Finance Director highlighting financial trends and variances.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with operational teams to provide financial guidance, assist with cost control measures and analyse variances to allow managers ensure financial efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and assess financial risks to safeguard the organisation's assets.

Skills and Attributes

  • Educational Background: qualified accountant (ACCA,CIMA, ACA) or part qualified working towards qualified.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical abilities to interpret financial data to support senior management in making informed decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software and financial modelling tools, as well as excellent Excel skills.
