Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor
Location: North Wales

About the Role
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee mechanical maintenance, installations, and project works at their site in North Wales. The successful candidate will lead a team of mechanical engineers and contractors, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and company procedures. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills and a solid technical background in mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day mechanical operations, including planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Lead and support a team of mechanical engineers and contractors, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
  • Oversee the installation, repair, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines and project milestones.
  • Maintain accurate records, including maintenance logs, compliance documentation, and reporting.
  • Liaise with management, contractors, and other departments to ensure smooth delivery of services.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying efficiency, reliability, and sustainability opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a mechanical engineering or maintenance environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, fault-finding, and maintenance practices.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements in engineering operations.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team.
