About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced
OT Security Engineer to join a growing security team dedicated to protecting critical infrastructure within the energy sector. You will play a pivotal role in bridging IT Security Operations and Operational Technology (OT) teams, ensuring the safe and secure operation of vital transmission systems.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a new security operations team and influence the future of cybersecurity within a highly regulated, safety-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor, triage, and respond to security events and alerts raised via SIEM systems.
- Act as the primary interface between IT Security Operations and OT engineering teams.
- Develop and fine-tune security monitoring tools and processes to improve threat detection and reduce false positives.
- Define detection use cases and recommend security investments to improve monitoring coverage.
- Create playbooks, standards, and incident response processes for the OT environment.
About You- Strong experience in security operations, including analysing logs and detecting indicators of compromise.
- Proven background in working within Operational Technology (OT) environments, ideally within a large, regulated industry.
- Good understanding of cyber threats impacting critical infrastructure, especially energy transmission systems.
- Hands-on experience configuring and tuning SIEM and security monitoring tools.
- Comfortable working in greenfield environments, establishing new tools, processes, and training materials.
