Warehouse Team Supervisor

Location: Medway

Salary: 32k- 36k DOE

Hours: (Shift Pattern) Monday - Friday: 3 weeks: 06:00 - 14:30, 1 week: 10:30 - 19:00)

A unique opportunity has arisen to join our growing client as a Warehouse Team Supervisor. As their exclusive recruitment partner, we've been asked to find a dedicated individual to fill this rare opening in their business.

You will be working alongside three other supervisors and will be directly responsible for a team of 4 in a busy, multi-functional warehouse environment. As this is a critical hire for the business, it's essential that the successful applicant is capable of upholding company standards, leading by example and driving change. The already-established business has exciting plans ahead, and we're looking for someone who can not only manage daily operations but also lead our team through exciting business changes and continuous growth.

This is a pivotal role that will see you working directly with the Production Manager to oversee all aspects of production and warehouse operations as part of a team of supervisors. We need a dynamic and respected individual who can take a hands-on approach, make key decisions, and drive the team forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team through change: We're looking for someone who can manage and motivate a team through business changes, ensuring a smooth transition and continued success.
  • Manage daily operations: Take ownership of daily production levels and ensuring that there's a smooth handover with the shift changeover
  • Oversee warehouse and inventory: Ensure all deliveries are correctly and quickly stored while adhering to stock management and rotation protocols.
  • Ensure compliance: Oversee all Health & Safety in production and the warehouse, ensuring the team conforms to legislative standards and all products meet health & safety standards
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with other supervisors and all areas of the business to ensure work is completed efficiently

You Will Need:

  • Relevant experience: You have up-to-date, hands-on knowledge of warehouse operations and line-management responsibilities
  • Positive approach to driving change: Leading by example and demonstrating company competencies. An energetic, collaborative and positive approach with exceptional communication skills is critical.
  • A growth mindset: You have a great eye for detail and quality and are committed to continuous improvement.
  • Line Manager Responsibilities: Conducting 1-2-1s, conflict management, managing employees against competencies
