SC Cleared DevOps Engineer

Role: DevOps Engineer Location: Bristol (5 days/week onsite)Clearance: SCRate: £600/day OutsideDuration: 6 monthsSector: Defence

Role Overview:We're seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to manage and optimise containerised applications, Kubernetes environments, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices for a defence project. You'll work closely with development teams to deliver repeatable, secure, and high-performance deployments across cloud and on-prem environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Containerise frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (.NET/C#) services; maintain Docker images and Helm charts.
• Administer Kubernetes clusters, VM lifecycle, and environments via VMware vSphere.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, including DevSecOps tooling (Trivy, Dependency Track, SonarQube, SBOM generation).
• Oversee infrastructure, authentication, access control, patching, and hardening for Linux and Windows systems.
• Implement monitoring and logging (Grafana, Prometheus, EFK/ELK) and ensure observability of systems.
• Coach and enable development teams, defining and promoting DevOps best practices.
