We re looking for an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Technician to join a busy and well-equipped workshop in Middleton. Working rotating night shifts, you ll benefit from strong pay, consistent hours, and ongoing support and training from a respected commercial vehicle operation.

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician

• Complete routine servicing, maintenance and safety inspections on HGVs and trailers
• Diagnose and repair faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs to DVSA and manufacturer standards
• Record all work accurately and complete service documentation
• Work independently to maintain efficiency and safety during night shifts
• Coordinate with parts staff to ensure timely job completion

Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician

Essential

• Experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or similar
• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently on night shift

Desirable

• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 driving licence
• IRTEC certification
• Experience in a dealership or fleet maintenance environment
