Job Title: Teaching Assistant Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Pay rate: £95.00 £101.91 per day
Location: Birmingham
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Smart Education is currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work across a range of SEN schools in the Birmingham area. These schools cater for pupils aged 9 19 years with a variety of needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and medical needs.

Job requirements:
• Previous experience of working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable)
• A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
Role responsibilities:
• Supporting pupils aged 9 19 years with diverse SEN needs
• Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
• Encouraging independence, engagement and confidence in learning
• Providing tailored 1:1 or small group support
