Are you a detail-driven Planner with experience in ELVS or electrical systems? An opportunity has opened on a major City of London project delivering intelligent building technologies. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on complex project planning, has excellent programme management skills, and enjoys collaborating across commercial, technical, and on-site teams.

The Planner position

You ll be responsible for developing and maintaining the integrated master programme for a major ELVS package, working closely with the Senior Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Engineers and Subcontractors. The scope includes Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), Security, Communications & Network Systems (CNS), Smart Technologies and MSI integration.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, validate and maintain the baseline project programme
  • Track progress against key milestones and update look-ahead plans
  • Chair programme coordination meetings with delivery teams and subcontractors
  • Support the commercial team with progress reports and time-related claims
  • Identify and report on programme risks, clashes and resourcing issues
  • Interface with engineers and PMs to reflect changes and site realities accurately
  • Align programme outputs with contract obligations and delivery milestones

Skills and experience required

Essential:

  • Strong experience in planning for ELVS or Electrical (MEP) projects
  • Proficient in Asta Powerproject and/or MS Project
  • Sound understanding of project lifecycles in a construction environment
  • Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and technical teams
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable:

  • Background in BMS, EMS, or Smart Building Systems
  • Experience on large-scale projects in Central London
  • Familiarity with NEC or JCT contracts
