Site Manager
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a major civil engineering project in Dundee, working on the Tay Road Bridge. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering the works safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This position involves leading site operations, managing project risks, and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safe delivery of all works, maintaining a strong safety-first culture.
- Lead the site team, providing clear direction and building a positive working environment.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Translate the tender programme into a detailed construction programme within 4 weeks of award.
- Monitor and update programmes to provide timely direction and achieve project targets.
- Develop, manage and maintain the Site Management Plan.
- Identify and assess project risks, maintain a risk register, and implement mitigation measures.
- Control project scope, requirements, resources, and personnel changes.
- Monitor and manage progress against cost plans, programmes, and quality/environmental standards.
- Oversee subcontractor relationships, ensuring collaboration and performance.
- Support and manage design processes as required.
