The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a track record of delivering complex, high-value schemes for Tier 1 contractors? We're working on behalf of a leading UK main contractor to recruit a skilled Project Manager for a 350 million flagship development in the heart of Manchester.

This is a career-defining opportunity to take the reins on one of the North West's most high-profile live projects - a large-scale commercial and mixed-use scheme that will shape the skyline of the city.

Your Role

As Project Manager, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing project delivery from pre-construction through to completion. You will:

  • Lead day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring safety, quality, programme, and cost objectives are met

  • Administer the JCT contract effectively, ensuring clarity, compliance, and transparent stakeholder communication

  • Produce and maintain detailed written reports, trackers, and documentation

  • Work closely with the commercial, technical, and design teams to resolve issues swiftly and proactively

  • Liaise directly with the client, consultants, and key supply chain partners to maintain strong working relationships

  • Drive team performance, supporting a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration

About You

We're looking for a detail-oriented, highly professional individual with:

  • Minimum 7+ years' experience in a Project Manager role, ideally with a Tier 1 or large regional main contractor

  • Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects ( 50m+), preferably in commercial or mixed-use sectors

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience administering JCT contracts

  • Exceptional written communication skills - able to produce clear, concise, and accurate reports and documentation

  • A methodical, organised approach with excellent planning and stakeholder coordination skills

  • Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field

Why Join?

  • Work for a respected Tier 1 contractor with a strong pipeline of major projects in the North West

  • Be part of an iconic, city-shaping project with real legacy

  • Supportive, structured environment with clear routes for progression

  • Competitive salary, excellent benefits, and long-term job security
