Production Operator
Location: Burnroot Sawmill, Aboyne
Contract: Full time, permanent.
About the role:
We are looking for a Production Operator to join our busy Sawmill. You will be part of a team responsible for creating a range of timber products as well as moving, sorting and packing the timber. The role involves some manual handling, lifting bending and twisting.
Hours of work:
47.5 hrs per week, 07:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday, with 30 minute unpaid lunch
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Manual handling of timber
Ensuring good housekeeping of workstations
Operating sawmilling machinery
Adhering to all Health, Safety and Quality standards and instructions
Operation of Mobile Plant Vehicles
Working towards set production targets
Skills and Experience:
Good communication skills
Ability to work well in a team to achieve production goals and meet required standards.
Can follow written work instructions
Must undertake all necessary training
Skills and Experience continued:
Have a flexible approach to work, understanding that you may undertake additional or other duties necessary to meet the needs of the company
Have experience of working in a manufacturing/construction environment
