Job Description

We are looking for an EICA engineer to join our team in a contract outside IR35 position. It will be working on clean water projects, so clean water experience is essential.

Main responsibilities

  • Development of technical solutions and coordinating work with multi-disciplinary teams Process, Civil and Mechanical).
  • Production of technical reports and the ability to work independently and as a team member to carry out checking, reviews and approval of complex electrical detailed designs, to include calculations, specifications, reports and drawings.
  • Analysis of options and selection of technical solutions as appropriate.
  • Ensuring contractors designs comply with the latest company specifications and other relevant industry specifications (Wimes, IET wiring regulations etc.) and legislations.
  • Development of outline scheme designs.
  • Assistance in preparation of scheme programmes, estimates and tender documentation.

You'll need:
Skills / Qualifications / Experience

  • HNC or a Degree in Engineering or equivalent training in the relevant area.
  • Working towards becoming an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer with the IET.
  • Extensive experience in water utilities would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work closely with others.
  • Technically competent knowing when to refer to others when required.
  • Good technical report writing and editorial skills, and good oral communication.
  • Detailed knowledge of PLC systems, HMI s, Variable Speed Drives, Harmonic filtration, data networks, telemetry systems and Standby Generator systems.
  • Competent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite - knowledge of Google Workspace would be beneficial.
