Job Description
Environmental cleansing officer required to work on a 1-year contract with a public sector organisation. This role supports a cleaner, safer area by maintaining public spaces, responding to environmental concerns, and engaging with the community to promote environmental responsibility.
Contract type: Agency for 1 year
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Based in Swindon
Pay rate: 14.10
Main duties - Routine cleansing of public areas - including litter picking and fly-tip clearing, respond swiftly to environmental complaints and requests, support enforcement officers with reporting environmental offences, promote clean and safe public spaces.
What skills and experience we are looking for:
- Full UK driving licence
Experience working in a cleansing or waste/environmental services role
Be comfortable working outdoors in adverse weather conditions
Have good communication skills and the ability to engage with the public
Able to work independently and as part of a team
A proactive and responsible approach to maintaining public areas
