Location: Chester
Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 + Benefits

A leading environmental consultancy is seeking a Senior Air Quality Consultant to join its growing team in Chester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced consultant to take on project leadership responsibilities, mentor junior colleagues, and work on a wide variety of infrastructure, transport, and urban development projects.

As a Senior Air Quality Consultant, you will lead the delivery of air quality impact assessments, dispersion modelling, and regulatory compliance work. You will liaise with clients, regulators, and local authorities while producing clear, high-quality technical reports. The role also offers the chance to support business development and contribute to the strategic growth of the air quality team.

Duties for the role of Senior Air Quality Consultant include:

• Leading technical projects in air quality consultancy

• Delivering dispersion modelling and impact assessments

• Reviewing and preparing high-quality technical reports

• Supporting and mentoring junior staff

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

• Contributing to proposals and business development initiatives

Skills and experience required for the role of Senior Air Quality Consultant:

• 4+ years of consultancy or regulatory experience in air quality

• Strong knowledge of ADMS, AERMOD, and IAQM/EPUK guidance

• Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography, or related subject

• Chartered status (CEnv/IAQM) or working toward it desirable

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Full UK driving licence
