Business Resilience Specialist

Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.

Package: Starting from 38,880 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

AWE is currently recruiting for a Business Resilience Specialist to assist in and contribute to the maintenance, and implementation of the AWE Business Resilience framework, business impact analyses, recovery strategy development, contingency planning, and business continuity awareness.

We are looking for people who can work closely with all levels of stakeholders to promote and embed Resilience and Continuity of Operations practices within business areas, preparing and presenting reports, through data analytics and management information to deliver simple briefs, reports and plans to management, ensuring that the process is properly understood.

Who are we looking for?

We do need you to have the following:

  • A good standard of education, A level or equivalent.

  • Demonstrable analytical experience and proficiency in the use of MS Office packages.

  • An understanding of business continuity and operational resilience

Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we'd like you to have experience in some of the following:

  • Ability to develop a good understanding of AWE Business and relate that knowledge to identified continuity and resilience approaches.

  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate continuity and resilience related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences, strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

  • High level of personal integrity, with the ability to handle confidential and otherwise sensitive matters professionally and with the appropriate level of judgment and maturity

  • High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision

  • Associate Member of Business Continuity Institute (AMBCI) (or be prepared to undertake)

Hybrid working is available for this role on an informal, non-contractual basis. Typically 3 days onsite per week, with occasional travel to other AWE UK sites.
