We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Deputy Head of Engineering to join our leadership team in Yorkshire. In this exciting role, you'll work closely with the Head of Engineering to strategically plan and deliver a high-quality curriculum aligned to the department's key priorities - driving the team towards Outstanding.
What You'll Be Doing:Supporting the strategic planning and development of the Engineering curriculum in line with learner needs and industry demands
Leading and managing a team of educators to ensure consistent high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment practices
Fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement through effective staff development and CPD that meets current industry standards
Playing a key role in the quality improvement cycle - monitoring, evaluating, and enhancing curriculum delivery to meet all awarding body standards
Leading initiatives that improve retention, achievement, success, and attendance rates across learner groups
Supervising and managing staff performance, setting clear expectations and delivering consistent feedback
A recognised PGCE (or equivalent teaching qualification)
A Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in an Engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Fabrication & Welding)
A proven track record in managing or supervising staff within an educational setting
A strong ability to develop and deliver strategies to improve key performance indicators (KPIs) including learner retention, achievement, and attendance
A deep commitment to maintaining high standards and supporting learners to achieve their very best
Competitive salary between £40,000 - £45,000
