Job Responsibilities
Lead and manage the educational psychology service, ensuring high-quality psychological support is provided to children, young people, and educational settings.
Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the effectiveness and reach of educational psychology services across the region.
Collaborate with schools, parents, and other stakeholders to promote the well-being and educational development of children and young people.
Provide guidance and supervision to a team of educational psychologists, fostering a culture of continuous professional development and excellence.
Conduct assessments and interventions to address the educational and psychological needs of students, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
Advocate for inclusive education practices and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support diverse learning needs.
Person Specification
Qualified Educational Psychologist with a valid registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Extensive experience in educational psychology, including leadership or management roles.
Strong understanding of current educational policies, practices, and legislation related to special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Proven track record of strategic planning and service development in an educational context.
