A rare opportunity within an exciting industry is now available for a qualified Level 1 or Level 2 or 3 Vehicle Technician

Vehicle Technician required to join a Film Lighting Hire Company.

SHL requires a candidate to help maintain our busy fleet of vehicles that includes vans, cars, 4x4 pickup trucks & generators

Focused around:

Daily vehicle checks.
Preventative and reactive maintenance.
Minor Mechanical and Electrical repairs.
Vehicle diagnostics.
Recovery or Assistance.

Additionally including:

Pre/post use inspections of Vans, 4x4s, Generators.
Periodic planned maintenance on vehicles and generators,
Carrying out repairs to enable complete roadworthiness/ compliance
General Vehicle upkeep & re-fuelling
Communication between different departments
Support and promote a Health & Safety (H&S) culture by complying with all aspects of H&S policy and procedures
Ensuring that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements are adhered to at all times
Keeping work areas, tools and equipment clean and tidy

Preferred Skills (But not essential):

HGV Experience
Qualified Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair to level 2 /3, (level 1 would be considered for a person with the right attitude and aptitude)
Eye for detail
Able to follow processes
Able to always carry yourself professionally
Self-motivated
Strong work & Time ethic
work on your own initiative

All applicants must be in possession of a current UK driving license.

Working pattern:

The working hours will generally be 8 hrs per day Monday - Friday and can involve very early mornings or late evenings.

Schedule:

Weekly alternating shift, 8.00am - 5.00pm or 6.00am - 3.00pm.

Salary: £35K (negotiable depending on experience)

Hours: 40 (5 days) Per Week

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year

Level 1 / 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (preferred)
Level 1 / 2 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (preferred)
HGV Licence (Would be a Bonus) (preferred)
Driving Licence (required)
