Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Commissioning Engineer Power Plant

We re looking for an experienced I&C Commissioning Engineer to join our power generation project team. If you thrive in high-pressure commissioning environments and have proven expertise in SCADA/PLC systems integration, this role offers the chance to take ownership of critical site activities and deliver high-quality execution from construction through start-up.
What You ll Do
  • Lead on-site commissioning activities: walk-downs, punch-listing, testing, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
  • Manage the interface between mechanical, electrical, and I&C systems.
  • Execute Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning best practices across control systems.
  • Oversee instrument installation, loop checks, calibrations, and hot/cold commissioning.
  • Coordinate and run FAT, SAT, and CAT testing.
  • Work closely with contractors, project teams, and operations to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant commissioning.
  • Report progress, document outcomes, and contribute to schedules and procedures.
What You ll Bring
  • Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Controls Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years commissioning experience in power plants or process industries.
  • Strong background in SCADA/PLC platforms (Rockwell, ComAp, B&R, or similar).
  • Familiarity with industrial comms protocols (Modbus, IEC 61850, ProfiNet).
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and organisational skills.
