Goods-In & Despatch Operative

Barking, DagenhamSalary: £31,200 (£12.50)Hours 9am-6pm (5 over 7 shift pattern including weekends, 40 hours per week).(Flexibility will be required for this role)

Davin Foods are thrilled to announce that we have opening our depo and are looking for energetic, reliable Goods in and Despatch operative to join our small dynamic team. This is a Ambient / Freezer facility and are looking for exceptional operative to start ASAP.

Accountabilities

• Assist in minimising and monitoring specific areas of waste, maximising service, productivity and always providing availability of products.
• Place all goods arriving, in their designated locations.
• Check quality and quantity delivered against goods in records, reporting shorts or damaged products.
• Place the products in a safe manner, avoiding compression and damage to produce.
• Ensure all stock is used in accordance with the company stock rotation process.
• Check quality of products for dispatch and ensure that they are labelled correctly.
• Organise products for dispatch according to driver delivery routes.
• Maintain good housekeeping of your work area by applying the company 'Clean as You Go' policy.
• Always adhere to Health and Safety regulations.
• Always adhere to Company Policies and Procedures.
• Perform any other duties required, as instructed by your line manager.

To be successful in your application for the role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills & experience.

• Ideally have previous experience of working in a frozen/chilled environment.
• Previous experience within a warehouse environment, ideally Goods In/Despatch area.
• Ideally forklift and counterbalance licence
• Ability to work to tight deadlines, on own incentive and within a team with high levels of accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working within a chilled/frozen environment.
• Flexible approach and self-motivated.
• Computer literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn and embrace new software.
