Passenger Assistant Vacancy - Home-to-School Transport

• Job Type: Part-time (0-hour contract, ad-hoc basis)
• Salary: £12.21 per hour
• Location: West Midlands
• Expected Hours: 07:30 - 09:00 and 14:30 - 16:00 (Monday - Friday term time)

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assist with the boarding and exiting of the vehicle, ensuring a safe and orderly process.
• Monitor and ensure the safety and comfort of children during transport.
• Provide support to children who may feel distressed or anxious during the journey.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with the driver, parents, and school staff to ensure a smooth and safe journey.
• Exhibit a compassionate, patient, and friendly approach to build trust and provide a positive experience for the children.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• No prior experience required; however, a caring and empathetic nature is essential.
• Must be 18 years or older with the legal right to work in the UK.
• Successful candidates will undergo an enhanced DBS check to assess suitability for the role.
• Professional and character references are required to support the application process.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to the needs of children.
