Financial Controller

We re looking for a driven and experienced Financial Controller to join a values-led organisation in the housing sector. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this is a pivotal role leading a talented team across financial reporting and rent & service charges, while shaping the financial strategy and performance framework of the business.

The role:

• Lead and develop the financial reporting and rent/service charge teams.
• Oversee all financial reporting monthly, quarterly, and annual ensuring accuracy and insight for decision-making
• Provide expert financial advice across the organisation, driving best practice and continuous improvement.
• Take responsibility for statutory accounts, audit coordinatio,n and VAT function.
• Drive systems improvements and maximise the use of financial data to support performance.

About you:

• Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Strong background in financial leadership, ideally within housing, not-for-profit, or similar regulated sectors.
• Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting, planning, and compliance.
• Excellent communicator, able to influence at leadership and board level.
• Strong systems knowledge and a forward-thinking approach to process improvement.
