Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and driven Sous Chef to join a busy kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented chef to step into a leadership role, working closely with the Head Chef to deliver outstanding dishes and a smooth service.

As a Sous Chef, you will take responsibility for managing the kitchen in the Head Chef s absence, supervising junior staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and hygiene. You ll play a key role in maintaining efficiency across the kitchen while helping to inspire creativity and teamwork.

Locations: England Scotland Nationwide

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

  • Supervise, train, and motivate junior chefs.

  • Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and portion control.

  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health, and safety standards.

  • Assist with menu planning, stock control, and ordering supplies.

What We re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong background as a Chef de Partie looking to progress.

  • Excellent culinary skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

  • A passion for food and a commitment to delivering quality under pressure.
