Job Title: Controls Engineer / PLC Programmer Location: Chesterfield Employment Type: Contract (Outside of IR35) We are looking for a Controls Engineer / PLC Programmer who is able to undertake a contract with an immediate start, and would be willing to be able to work on client site. The Role As a Controls Engineer / EC&I Engineer , you'll be at the heart of delivering automation and control solutions across a wide range of industries. From PLC programming to SCADA development and instrumentation integration, you'll take projects from design all the way through to commissioning - solving complex challenges and making a real impact along the way. What You'll Do Design, configure, and program SCADA systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.). Develop PLC-based control systems and integrate with field instrumentation. Support projects through the full lifecycle: design, FAT, commissioning, and handover. Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimise existing automation systems. Produce accurate documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards. Work closely with colleagues and clients to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient solutions. CNC Turner Salary package 36,504 ( 18 per hour) + profit share, Bristol BS4, 39 hour week Monday to Friday 8.00 - 4.30pm early finish Friday, pension, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, permanent role.
