Job Title: Trainee or Qualified Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) with an interest in working with children and young people (aged 16 - 25) who are at high risk of serious harm from domestic abuse Locality: Oxfordshire Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 depending on experience Hours of work: 37 hrs per week Notice: 2 calendar months 1 month during the Probationary period. Probationary 6 months Accountable to: Service Manager of Reducing the Risk of Domestic Abuse, CEO ultimately the Board of Trustees Context of post Reducing the Risk of Domestic Abuse is a company and charity set up to: provide inclusive services that reduce the risk of domestic abuse and promote the safety, choices and welfare of those affected enhance awareness of the nature and prevalence of domestic violence and help to foster good practice and an integrated multi integrated approach. This post holder will be in the high-risk team and be managed by the Service Manager with support from the Senior IDVA. A structured training and induction programme is in place to ensure new staff members are knowledgeable, confident and comfortable with the role. After 6 months of experience, the applicant will attend the Safelives IDVA training. Workload will be adjusted and study time will be given for attendance at training. Salary will be uplifted on successful completion of the course. Function The first priority of the charity is to provide an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor Service for the county. The post holder will be a member of the IDVA team and provide a pro-active service to victims of domestic violence to keep them safe and promote their wellbeing. They will use their skills to assess the risk a client is in, deliver a service appropriate to the level of risk and have a particular focus on providing an intensive service to those at high risk. The post holder will have the skills to act as lead professional, working to ensure an integrated service and co-ordinating multi agency work to keep people safe, in addition to working with victims and signposting to other services. GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR A VERY SKILLED RISK MANAGER ROLE CANDIDATE IN THE COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT IN THE FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPANY DOING, RISK MANAGEMENT REPORTING AND SUPPORTING THE HEAD OF COMPLIANCE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE A SKILLED RISK MANAGER LINKED IN COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT IN THE FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPANY & DOING RISK MANAGEMENT REPORTING TO HEAD OF COMPLIANCE. MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE To embed & maintain an effective enterprise-wide risk management framework that ensures the GREAT FINANCIAL FIRM operates within its approved risk appetite, meets all relevant FCA regulatory obligations, & protects clients, assets, & the integrity of the financial system. THE RISK MANAGER, will lead risk oversight process, support the ICARA process, & provide independent challenge to senior management & TO THE GREAT COMPANY SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED :- ESSENTIAL :- • PROVEN RISK MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IN A FINANCIAL SERVICES ENVIRONMENT, WEALTH MANAGEMENT OR INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT• Risk-related professional qualification (IRM, FRM, CISI Risk IN FINANCIAL SERVICES PRM, ICA Diploma)• knowledge of FCA requirements, including Mi FIDPRU, SYSC, & conduct risk obligations.• Strong grasp of capital adequacy, liquidity risk, & ICARA methodology.& communication skills at all levels.• Ability to manage own workload & work in a small team.• Knowledge of business processes, standards, policies & procedures• Excellent organisational skills• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Intelligent Office, Governance Responsibilities: • Operate in line with FCA Handbook obligations, particularly SYSC, COBS, Mi FIDPRU, & CASS (if applicable).• Deliver duties in compliance with Senior Manager & Risk Management Committee (RMC).• Ensure risk framework supports the Wind-Down Plan, business continuity arrangements, & recovery/resolution triggers. NEADED :- • Familiarity with CASS rules & operational resilience regulations.• Educated to degree level with a relevant industry qualification !• Applicants with substantial experience in risk management THE RISK MANAGER RECRUITED, will lead the risk oversight process, support the ICARA process, & provide independent challenge to senior management AND TO THE GREAT FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPANY ESSENTIALSKILLS & KNOWLEDGE :- • Proven risk management experience within a FINANCIAL SERVICES ENVIRONMENT , WEALTH MANAGEMENT OR INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT• Risk-related professional qualification (IRM, FRM, CISI Risk in Financial Services, PRM, ICA Diploma)• In-depth knowledge of FCA requirements, including Mi FIDPRU, SYSC, & conduct risk obligations.• Strong grasp of capital adequacy, liquidity risk, & ICARA methodology.• Excellent analytical, report-writing, & communication skills at all levels.• Ability to manage own workload & work within a small team.• Knowledge of business processes, standards, policies & procedures• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & ideally Intelligent Office, REQUIRED :- • Familiarity with CASS rules operational resilience regulations.• Willingness to undertake study.• Educated to degree level with a relevant industry qualification• Applicants with substantial hands-on experience in risk management APPLY IF SKILLED RISK MANAGEMENT CANDIDATE IN FINANCIAL SORTING COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT & REPORTING TO HEAD OF COMPLIANCE IN THE COMPANY
