These roles are specifically designed to target and support students within Reading, Literacy (English) and Phonics. You will be responsible for assessing pupils' phonics and delivering catch-up interventions across Reception to Year 6. The team is currently 3 strong, so you will have support and experience around you. Helping to lead catch up sessions as directed by the Reading Lead Scribe work for students that struggle with the pace of lessons 1:1 and small group work in and out of the classroom Liaison with teachers to support breaking down barriers to learning Supervising and supporting identified children with SEN / Additional Needs in 1:1, group or whole class situations ensuring their safety and access to learning in a purposeful and supportive learning environment Run and support phonics sessions and catch-up interventions for pupils across Reception to Year 6Phonics Teaching Assistant - Ideal Candidate 1stClass or 2:1 Degree and a strong set of A-Levels A passion for supporting students in Primary Education Perfect for aspiring Primary Teachers (Teacher Training Opportunity in September 2025) Confident and comfortable leading catch-up sessions in a variety of subjects Previous experience supporting children; if this is in a school based setting then even better! This can also include; Tutoring, Babysitting, Summer Camps, Support Work, Voluntary SEN Work and anything else children related!
