Job description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary School Teacher to join our educational team in Hertfordshire / North London area. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic success. This role involves teaching various subjects, with an emphasis on Geography, Maths, Music, DNT, Business economics any other relevant subject in Secondary school, while employing effective behaviour management strategies to support diverse learners. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to the needs of all students. Educate students in core subjects, primarily focusing on English, while integrating special education methodologies as required. Utilise effective behaviour management techniques to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to discuss student progress and address any concerns. Provide tutoring support for students needing additional assistance in their studies. Assess student performance through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to promote academic growth. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices. Qualifications A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS or PGCE or equivalent) is essential. Strong knowledge of English language and literature; experience in Special Education is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students of varying abilities. Proven experience in behaviour management within a classroom setting. A genuine passion for educating young minds and fostering a supportive learning environment. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to the school community.
