Senior Management Accountant (12 month FTC)

Job Title: Senior Management Accountant Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract Location: Warwick (Hybrid Working - 2-3 Days Onsite) Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum (pro-rata) Start Date: ASAP / October 2025 About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team on a 12-month fixed-term basis to cover a key role during maternity leave. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident working autonomously, while also contributing to strategic decision-making and financial performance. You will play a crucial role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, and act as a business partner to senior stakeholders across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Lead the month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting. Produce and present monthly management accounts with insightful variance analysis and commentary. Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash flow projections. Business partner with senior operational and commercial teams to drive financial performance and accountability. Analyse key trends and identify opportunities for cost savings or revenue growth. Maintain and improve financial models, reporting tools, and internal controls. Support year-end audit preparation and liaison with external auditors. Mentor and support junior members of the finance team, including Management Accountants or Assistant Accountants. Contribute to ongoing finance transformation projects and systems improvements. Candidate Profile: Essential: Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA). Proven experience in a senior management accounting or finance business partnering role. Strong technical accounting skills and commercial acumen. Advanced Excel skills and confident working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics). Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders. Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines. Desirable: Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or project-based business. Experience with Power BI or other financial reporting tools. Available to start in the next 4-6 weeks or sooner.
