Group Financial Accounting Manager 65,000 - 75,000 + Great benefits package Royston (2-3 days in the office) Our client, a leading force within their chosen sector, has a key opening within their group finance team for a technically strong finance professional with a strong consolidation skillset. The principal purpose of the role is to ensure timely production of high-quality group consolidated monthly financial and management accounts, which are regularly reviewed by the senior executive team. Key responsibilities will include: - Run the main group close process and produce the monthly group consolidated management accounts, including reviewing, and analysing intercompany reports, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and reviewing Group cashflows. - Prepare statutory accounts for legacy group entities, including audited consolidated accounts, ensuring all statutory filing deadlines are met. - Simplify and eliminate elements of the previous holding structure, including offsetting intercompany loan balances and instruments. - Work closely with the Group Tax Manager to assess the tax implications of structural changes and maximise tax efficiencies. - Produce quarterly forecast group consolidated management accounts, annual budget and various strategic forecasts. - Review monthly financial submissions from operating businesses, liaising with colleagues to ensure compliance of reported results with Group policy. - Review the monthly management report to Senior executives. - Prepare monthly reporting financial packs for the Head Office. - Work with the Group Management Accountant and Group System Accountant to develop and evolve reporting input schedules and templates to maximise the accuracy of data entry - Work with and challenge CFO to continually improve quality of management accounting and reporting. - Provide deliverables for the Annual and Interim external audit. The successful candidate will be professionally qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) and have a proven track record of producing group consolidated management accounts. They will have experienced IFRS accounting and be able to give multiple examples of when they have added value across a complex private equity funded setup. The Minster Centre is recruiting for a Registry Manager to oversee all aspects of training and course administration from first enquiry to graduation. Salary: £36,000 Hours: 35 hours per week (hybrid working available) Contract: Fixed term until 31st July 2026 (potential for permanent) Annual leave: 33 days (including bank holidays) Responsible for: Course Administrator Reports to: Management Committee Lead (registry & student services) Background The Minster Centre is a registered charity and company and specialist integrative counselling and psychotherapy training provider based in Queens Park, London. We are a leading training provider in the sector and currently have around 400 students attending training courses ranging from open access introductory courses to post-graduate degrees. Thousands of therapists have trained at the Minster Centre since our inception in 1978 and we have an extensive community. Our courses are accredited by the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy), the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), and some are validated by Middlesex University. We are also registered with the Office for Students. The Minster Centre Psychotherapy & Counselling Service (MCPCS) also provides a safe, affordable and professional counselling service to people over the age of 18 who are experiencing a range of difficulties. The service is provided by senior trainees who are in the process of completing their therapy training. Job summary The Registry Manager supports all aspects of training and course administration from first enquiry to graduation. This includes introductory courses, professional counselling and psychotherapy qualifications, and MA programmes validated by Middlesex University. Reporting to the responsible Management Committee Lead, the Registry Manager ensures that we deliver efficient and effective services to support admissions, enrolment, university registration, assessment, progression, HESA data returns, awards, and graduation of our students. The Registry Manager has line management responsibility for the course administrator, leads on course scheduling, managing student data, organising the Bursaries and Hardship Fund (the Minster Centre Fund), supports key committees, monitors academic progress, and ensures accurate information is presented at Assessment Boards. They will balance day-to-day student matters with supporting the team and working to improve administrative systems. This is a varied role which is critical for the delivery of The Minster Centre's strategic objectives and charitable aims. The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, and will have significant relevant experience of administration, ideally within the Higher Education or professional training sectors. The Minster Centre Psychotherapy & Counselling Service (MCPCS) also provides a safe, affordable and professional counselling service to people over the age of 18 who are experiencing a range of difficulties. The service is provided by senior trainees who are in the process of completing their therapy training. Job summary The Registry Manager supports all aspects of training and course administration from first enquiry to graduation. This includes introductory courses, professional counselling and psychotherapy qualifications, and MA programmes validated by Middlesex University. Reporting to the responsible Management Committee Lead, the Registry Manager ensures that we deliver efficient and effective services to support admissions, enrolment, university registration, assessment, progression, HESA data returns, awards, and graduation of our students. The Registry Manager has line management responsibility for the course administrator, leads on course scheduling, managing student data, organising the Bursaries and Hardship Fund (the Minster Centre Fund), supports key committees, monitors academic progress, and ensures accurate information is presented at Assessment Boards. They will balance day-to-day student matters with supporting the team and working to improve administrative systems. What You'll Do As a seamlessly integrated part of the BCG network, we provide consulting services focused on the development and implementation of business-critical IT architecture and digital solutions. As a Manager, you will work closely with our client's leadership teams to understand their key challenges, define IT strategies, win buy-in for your recommendations and lead BCG case team members to transform client potential into performance. You will deploy customized IT strategies, digital platforms and architecture to leverage the digital potential of our customers with state-of-the-art tools such as cloud computing, AI, blockchain, microservices and containerization. You will evaluate and coach our clients' technology teams, manage quality and risk while maintaining client expectations and escalations. Besides giving direction on the functional, execution and management of the project you will be given end-to-end responsibility for larger, highly technical and more complex modules within the project and begin to develop specialized knowledge to help you solve our clients problems. Together with our clients you will develop convincing IT strategies, concepts and solutions, applying your sound technical know-how along with your analytical and conceptual skills. You will start to take on team lead responsibilities and demonstrate intellectual leadership directing diverse teams of consulting talent. Your role will also be to help team members flourish through thought leadership, team mentoring, knowledge sharing, giving frequent feedback and creating opportunities for team members to learn and grow. You will also personally develop and grow by being exposed to new and complex challenges daily. Finally, as a Manager you will contribute to the Practice Area development and help to build the BCG brand as a digital leader. What You'll Bring 10 to 15 years' experience in Tech strategy and consulting or IT project management. You will have relevant experience from a top consulting firm (focused on technology, digital initiatives) and have led the design and management of IT implementation and strategy projects. A strategic thinker, entrepreneurial, able to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills, strong customer focus and mental agility with a results orientation Experience in the Insurance or finance industries, with strong technical expertise in banking or insurance platforms. Strong expertise working with Data and Cloud technologies. Ability to balance dogmatism and pragmatism to guide decision making. Able to present different architecture models to clients, develop MVP architecture and IT landscape modernisation roadmaps. Deep expertise with modern toolsets in Agile environments, legacy modernization and modern approaches to technology. Know-how to drive operational and client service excellence, presenting project results to C-Level. Have experience with, and understand how to lead, legacy integration and remediation (facades, strangler approaches, et. al.). Ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel to clients world-wide. University degree with above-average academic performance in a mathematical-scientific field, information technology, engineering, or business administration.
