Job Description

A friendly and well-organised London Borough Council are seeking an Education Lawyer, or an Education and Employment Lawyer to join them on a locum contract for at least 3 months.

My client is opening to taking on a locum Lawyer who can either handle just education cases, or a mixed caseload of education and employment work. If you have experience of governance (i.e. constitution matters) then that is ideal also, although not essential.

The successful Lawyer will work predominantly from home but you may be expected at some point to start attending the office once a week, if that is what the council decides.

The team are seeking someone who is experienced, proactive and who can work independently. In return you will work on a varied caseload of matters and have the chance to be part of a small, friendly team.

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Chloë Cameron in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
