Biocleave is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic graduate to join our expanding commercial team as an inside sales specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to learn in a fast-growing biotech company, with the potential to help shape the commercial function and develop into a sales manager role and beyond.

You will primarily be based in our office on Milton Park, where you will work closely with the team, including spending time with our bench scientists to learn about our technology.

Your main responsibilities will be following up identified leads, contacting customers and managing the sales pipeline to help Biocleave meet its sales targets. You will also represent Biocleave at conferences and scientific meetings alongside other members of the team.

In this role, you will be able to

  • Engage with customers primarily through phone calls and emails
  • Communicate with confidence, tailoring your style and content to suit your audience
  • Listen and respond to queries or discussion points raised by customers with a self-assured manner
  • Use your initiative and work independently to proactively follow up leads
  • Identify both trending and under-served areas of research where Biocleave technology can provide solutions to researchers
  • Collaborate with senior team members to help define the product pipeline based on customer feedback

About you

  • You have a PhD with expertise in biochemistry or a closely related subject
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills
  • You are organised and methodical
  • You are persistent and patient
  • You have a keen interest in the technology being developed by Biocleave and its applications, and particularly in its commercialisation.
