We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us at Devonport Royal Dockyard (DRDL) as a Security Capability Lead, to ensure that Babcock is effective in supporting and delivering a professional, secure and efficiently run Nuclear Level 2 site. Who we are looking for?
We are looking for a Security Capability Lead to ensure that Babcock is effective in supporting and delivering a professional secure and efficiently run Nuclear Level 2 site. Working collaboratively with the customer looking for continuous improvements in all areas.

What will you be doing?
You'll provide leadership, management and control of Babcock exercise and testing regime; provide evidence, argument and confidence to the Responsible Person of Babcock's nuclear security effect within DRDL, which is designed to prevent unauthorised access to DRDL sites, facilities, Accountable Nuclear Material (ANM), Defence Nuclear Information (DNI) and Defence Nuclear Assets (DNA). You'll lead, co-ordinate, control and optimise exercise and testing of all security arrangements to ensure compliance with the requirements contained within the security regulation framework (JSP 628), JSP 440 (Nuclear Security) and other legislation; ensure that all personnel with security roles and responsibilities in emergency arrangements are capable of delivering the appropriate response in a timely, cohesive and effective manner, thus minimising any consequences to the workforce or the Devonport Site capabilities and outputs.

The experience you'll bring

  • Working in protective security in critical national infrastructure.
  • Experience over qualifications, table top exercises or business continuity.
  • Understanding of 4 D's.
  • You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
