Job Description

Looking for a role with true purpose?

Become an assistant manager of one of Explore Learning's children's education centres; join an ambitious, purpose- led organisation, where your focus is to unlock lightbulb moments in others, everyday.

We believe that quality education for children and young people essential, and more than ever, children need opportunities to grow and develop in confidence. That's why since 2001, we've worked with over 300,000 students to achieve their potential, and we have no intention of stopping - our goal is to continue to provide a service which not only impacts children academically, but to develop a love for learning.

What will you experience as an assistant manager of one of our education centres?

The magic combination of leadership in business, and working face to face with children and young people. You'll spend half of your day working with your team to strategise for commercial success, then switch your focus to delivering an inspiring service to our families as they attend their sessions. Every day is full of variety in your centre.
Your growth and development is a priority from day 1. Tailored learning and development opportunities mean you'll identify skills you never knew you had, as well as develop lots of new ones; your confidence in leading and coaching others will soar, and you'll learn loads from watching your peers in action.
Catching the "centre buzz". Whether that's through coaching your team to bring out the best in your members, or by creating a vibrant, fun and engaging environment - you'll love coming to work each day in the knowledge that you will influence those around you to make longstanding and meaningful change.

What does a typical week look like?

When it comes to delivering our fantastic service to families, we believe that having centres which are accessible and flexible to people from all walks of life is incredibly important. To ensure we deliver this, our centres are open 5 or 6 days in the week, and our members can attend sessions after school between 3pm - 8pm, and on a Saturday between 9am - 5pm. During the week, you'll open up at 11am so you have time to focus on your centre success plans before your families arrive from 3.

As a full time assistant manager, your typical working pattern will be Tuesday - Saturday; Sundays and Mondays are yours to switch off from the hustle and bustle of centre life. In some centres we also have part time managers working 2-3 days per week, which will include 1-2 weekdays, and Saturdays.

Does this sound like you?

Are you confident in maths and English, having achieved a grade C/5 or above in your GCSEs (or equivalent)?
Are you currently studying, or a University graduate?
Are you passionate about working with families in an educational setting, and ready to inspire and lead a team?
