Are you a plumbing and heating engineer looking for a new challenge supporting your local NHS Trust?

If so, come and join our dedicated team of professional engineers at Kings Mill Hospital, Mansfield.

Some role responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking planned maintenance, repairs, minor improvements, as directed by management, interpreting and ensuring compliance with legislation and guidance. For example HTM's , Water Regulations and other governing bodies.
  • The position will involve working on mechanical systems including domestic hot and cold water systems and accessory's , maintenance of thermostatic mixer valves (TMV's), heating systems, building management systems, pumps, heat exchangers and ventilation systems (this list is not exhaustive).
  • Replacement of mechanical components such as valves and pipework as part of lifecycle works.
  • Carry out emergency repairs to ensure departments are kept operational.
  • Conduct remedial action consisting of chlorination and sterilisation to which training is given.
  • To liaise with specialist and non-technical personnel at all levels in the delivery of the service.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Hold an NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Plumbing and Heating.
  • The post holder will have an ability to communicate and co-ordinate tasks effectively.
  • Have a high level of flexibility and co-operation in order to provide the quality-of-service standards required.
  • Have a high standard of customer care skills, have a pleasant manner, good communication skills, numerate and have keyboard skills.
  • Be required to work 40 hours per week over 5 days, Monday to Friday (overtime including weekend working may be available/required on occasion).
  • All essential training will be provided that is not included in your core trade.
